"IRS Letter" Have You Received An IRS Letter And Need Advice?
filing taxes government site Do I have to claim taxes on a profit / file when I know something that I am not guilty?
I earned 5,000 untaxed "independence" income to 2010. I have no fixed salary, I was only paid when I worked (always different amounts what I did based). I have done some research and a lot of sites (TurboTax / IRS.gov) it seem like I do not owe anything because of the amount that I made the time frame and the fact that I only check if I worked. I also cashed some bonds to help pay for college (they were $ 1,000 bond for $ 500 bought back in the 90s) the taxable bond and my father were filed and paid federal taxes for them already. He does not want to know about my other job so income did not get the 2 combined. Do I need a 1040X file now that the other income (5000 $) was not reported, but I do not think I qualify to pay taxes anyway? Oh Lordy what should I do.? My income was reported to me on a 1099-MISC. if it makes a difference. It is not entirely as "autonomy" ... my income was "non-employee compensation" classified
It sounds as though your "research" is defective. The filing requirement for independence is only $ 400 for the whole year. With $ 5,000 self-employment income, due to be at all - at least $ 706 in self- Taxes. Non-employee compensation, income from self-employment by definition. File Form 1040 Schedule C, and add the business income and Expenses to report. If the net income more than $ 400, attach Schedule SE to the self-control character. If you submit a tax return already filed, without regard to self-employment income you an amended return using form 1040-X file and must fix the dates and C SE. You must and by paying no taxes due on the 18th April 2011 to avoid late payment penalties and interest.

e file taxes free state Can I file for taxes with H & R, but a cheaper or free state e-file somewhere else?
Another way to look at it. can I have the new H & R file and use it to open file. I live in PA. I have my state taxes with H & R Block software already prepared. I just want to e-file, but without paying their $ 30 to e-file state.
Yes, you can .. but remember all the information you again for your state taxes. If your file back to the state with the federal government on the same site, you just have to enter your data again. If you are paying for convenience. Some State offers free registration on their state income site. See below for a list of all government revenue sides. http://www.tax-easy.com/state-revenue-websites

2009 taxes student loans Do I get my tax refund, if my wife is due on student loans and we wind up together?
My wife and I married in 2009. Before we got married, as they apply to their income tax refund the IRS the money would be brought to send their student loans. This year we have filed jointly. Can they still take the money, even when I am with the return, too?
Yes, they can and probably does the whole surplus to you apply for student loans. What you need to this is the lender and to get back on track with regular monthly payments. You're better off making payments on the loan to wait every month to make a payment with your tax overpayment once a year. Other people will suggest that you file separately, or file as an injured spouse. This is only a temporary solution. Since you are married, have to find the two of you on your finances as a couple. Because of money for a loan is in order. Behind the Payments is bad. It is your ability, a car and a house to buy. The student loans must be paid. Do not ignore it. I hope this helps. Gary
