Cigarette Taxes By State

cigarette taxes by state
Have you seen the “new” taxes Illinois is quietly pushing on their residents?

How does your state compare?

Check out the new forms we get to fill out. Basically, Illinois is so hard up for money that they are taxing cigarettes and ANY general merchandise bought out of the state by an Illinois resident. Chicago itself has even gone so far as to sue Ebay for a list of users that have bought/sold event tickets in Illinois. This is getting absolutely ridiculous…scroll through these forms and let me know how your state compares…I think you all know who is to blame…BUSH (sarcasm)

I seem to remember a senator from Illinois who was running for President and claiming he was not gonna raise taxes on people making under 250k a year.
Hmmmm…whatever happened to that promise?
