Can I claim internet as a tax deduction?

I take online classes, can I claim internet or part of my internet as a tax deduction for school? I don’t think so, but it is worth a shot!

No. Education expenses are not deductible.

The only exception would be continuing education classes to maintain your certification needed for work. but even then – deducting the class fees, yes, the whole internet connection – no.

NO there are no taxes for internet and if you didn’t have a computer you would still be able to use one at a library
