Adobe Creative Suite for graphic designers is so successful that the company has gathered almost all of its programs in theme suites and released new versions all at the same time.

There are now production (video) and Web packages of Creative Suite for the design package, with the web and design available in Standard and Premium Edition. Some programs such as Photoshop CS3 will be found in all packages, while in Dreamweaver and Flash CS3 Design can get and CS3 Web. Oh, and there are now two different editions of Photoshop. Confused? Take it with Adobe.

Here we take a brief look at the Creative Suite 3 Design Premium edition. This version of Photoshop CS3 Extended includes Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Flash, and Bridge, plus the inconsistent called Professional Acrobat 8.

Photoshop CS3 has some nice new features such as Smart Filters, which let you work non-destructive filter effects in a similar manner to which you are currently working with adjustment layers. There is a Quick Selection tool, the task of the magic wand but it works perfectly this time, and improve a very useful "edge" Dialogue for growing and shrinking selections in a controlled manner.

Fans of Vanishing Point is like the new ability to more than a two-dimensional Area at a time, work, even though it is quite tricky, yes, the positions just right. The program can also align and automatically mix multiple levels, the source is helpful to obtain the overall good photo image from several shots, but we found that any success was highly dependent on starting with almost identical shots in the first place.

Adobe has also thrown in a whole set of special instruments for scientific purposes and a Movie Paint rotoscoping tool for video work, though not of great use is possible to contract work graphic designer.

The bad news is that ImageReady was killed. If the ability to set up different states with different Layer effects for different image slices enjoyed warned that this can not be: not in Photoshop, or Dreamweaver. You can apparently do it in Adobe Fireworks CS3, but this is not included with CS3 Design Premium.

Illustrator CS3 has a few interesting touches, but not a killer feature this time. The new Eraser tool wise, and the isolation mode for nailing down parts of the complex work of art can be useful. You can automatically color harmonies and play with them interactively with your artwork through a Live Color dialog. Otherwise, the upgrade is all about small improvements: improved export to Flash format, a crop tool, and so on.

By contrast, InDesign CS3 is a good upgrade with many practical new features. The Pages panel has now page thumbnails, for example, and "Quick Apply You can now explore program commands stored as well as styles. You get a much better interface for the placement of text and images, particularly in the placement multiple files at once, thanks to the preview image cursor.

InDesign files can be placed as graphics in other InDesign layouts, and you can find / Replace window Grep with comprehensive functions and object-use. Annoyingly, you still can not perform multiple search / replace routines while you can at least every routine save for easy retrieval. The Transparency palette is a more capable Effects panel has been replaced, and you can now have text on the transparency Frame while the text itself transparent.

GoLive has been deported from the Creative Suite and replaced by Dreamweaver CS3. This is probably a better program in terms on functionality and is certainly much more popular, but this will come as cold comfort for dedicated GoLive users. Adobe GoLive development has continued, but existing Users who want a copy, that the much improved new version 9 is buy it at the beginning of the Creative Suite 3.

To be fair, Dreamweaver CS3 is a nice Web design package, and surprisingly easy to learn. It deals in CSS is a serious but very accessible way, and previously challenging tasks such as Spry effects can only few mouse clicks to set up. Apart from that, we are not certain that existing users of Dreamweaver feeling that there is enough here to warrant an upgrade just yet.

Bridge CS3 is a great improvement over the sluggish and brain-dead original with Creative Suite 2 was introduced It runs faster and better integrated with Adobe Camera Raw for importing camera images and features bits and pieces from Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, like the magnifying glass. But at the end of the day Bridge is still just a file browser.
